BOMBAY DIARIES - CHAPTER 06(Closure)

#Chapter 06: Taking them for granted

Since the day I started going to school, I had one friend, who used to go with me in a common vehicle. We grew up together, laughing, talking , sharing about everyday incidents of school. I always loved his company as he was one of the most silent and simple boys in our batch.

He used to listen to each and every rant of mine and even remembered it to remind me years later about it. Haha!
He loves reading a lot. He suggested many different books to read.

He was always there, he knew me so much that whenever I used to have a bad day, he just somehow knew it. He would try everything to help me but I wonder why I never let him in to help me.
We were still great friends as he always gave me my personal space.

But when the time came for me to leave my hometown, it was really hard for him. He never said it but I sensed it as he had many friends but he wasn't very comfortable around everyone. As I had to go to pursue my dreams, there was no other alternative.

I tried to be in contact with him but he was not much of a chatting person, so we couldn't really talk much as I never got time to call him and talk.
Some days in Mumbai were very hectic and I  assumed that like always, he will always be there for me. But this was not the case now, afterall how much of ignorance will anyone bear??

The time came when I recently just lost contact with him, I mean I tried to reignite our lost bond but that somehow didn't work. I regret that I didn't value him at the right time.

He always reads my blogs, I know he will read this too, so I want to tell him
"You matter to me, I am sorry I always fail to show you that. I hate that I didn't do justice to our friendship. You have always tried a lot but I always lacked.
I don't know if you will forgive me but just want you to know ,
You are special, will always be for me! "

So one of the most integral lesson moving out taught me is
Never take people for granted.
Tell them whatever you feel.
You may never get the chance to confess it later. Sometimes we grow and we grow apart.

--- Chapter 06 ends ---
Meet or call your people and tell them how lucky you are to have them.
How they are an important part of your life.
This will not make you vulnerable, instead it will help you feel liberated.
You will be delighted to see your special bunch happy.
Life is unpredictable, don't leave your words unsaid.
