YOU ARE WHAT YOU CONSUME!

Do you ever wonder how rapidly online or E-content is consumed by the people these days? What does that make you think ? Does it mean that people are so free and available that they spend their time watching various movies/ series, playing games, consuming e-books, creating and posting videos and lot more? As a joke, we might agree  to it, but truly we all know that no one is all that free. This heavy intake of content only means that even after a long, tiring day, we prefer to watch / hear/ read something rather than taking rest or letting our thoughts wander boundlessly. Sometimes we avoid our thoughts just because we fail to understand them. When we come across some similar plots or story lines, we find it bingeworthy. It makes us feel better that we are not alone in this feeling. We always look for validation or assurance outside ourselves and when we do get it, we feel relieved.
Sometimes our choices are also driven by curiosity. As human beings we are sometimes limited in our experiences so we take in content to explore those experiences or the feelings that may feel forbidden or not mainstream.
While we wish to know ourselves or explore something new, we also succeed in escaping the harsh realities of our lives. Human beings may take on the problems head on but from time to time, we fantasize and look for utopian or even dystopian settings, which are duly fulfilled by online content.
Now that this COVID - 19 virus has broken out into the world and we are all quarantined indoors, we all have got much more time to dive deeper into understanding our own thoughts and feelings, thereby making more sense out of it. We need to understand that the content we see, the content we read and the content we like, defines who we are and how we make sense of everything around us.
Maybe the Universe is guiding us to look, know, understand and learn ourselves better, while we are home quarantined.
Stay safe!
Stay healthy!
Stay in touch with yourself!
