Quotes and Anecdotes - 4

Hola my readers,

How often do we go down the memory lane and catch ourselves smiling on the way? There is something bitter sweet about recalling our best as well as worst moments in life, isn't it?

Memories in itself are anecdotes. We borrow pieces from our memories to invoke the same feelings in our present. Memories are just so powerful, can make you teary eye in one moment or just at once, make you jump in joy.

#quote_anecdote part 4

When we view memories, I am sure most of  us will agree that its neither always painful nor always  blissful. What really makes memories special?

For me, every memory is a series of life that we lived thoroughly, we were right there in those moments. We felt alive, we felt infinite. Just in those few seconds we didn't bother about anything in the world. We were totally ourselves.

The way we cried our heart out while missing someone or the way our face lit up at the sight of a big chocolate, in those moments we knew only that and we didn't shy away from feeling it at all.

Ever seen anyone sharing their memories, the way people do it is so profound and real. The way their eyes express while they are speaking is indeed a sign of their absolute presence in those very moments.  What can be more satisfying than this? What can be more promising than knowing that we were unapologetically ourselves?

I find memories very sacred just like Oscar Wilde believed

Memories.... is the diary that we all carry about with us.

Our diary not only reminds us of the paths we have been through but something more. It signifies our growth. It gives us this confidence that we can grow out of people and things when they no longer fit into jigsaws of our life.

Memories assure us that it is alright to miss people and events that are no more here because for one day/ one instance all of that made you feel something for real. And there is nothing wrong with it.

Memories should not make us judge ourselves, instead a way to applaud ourselves to be genuinely and purely ourselves. They make us emotional, vulnerable but memories make us more human.

While we are stuck indoors, all we have is memories of the way things were, of the way we were - free, miserable but still happy.

Our memories are treasure that we create for ourselves, like a short movie to replay on our death bed. So, make sure you live more and create even more memories to enjoy the final reel of your life.

What does your memory jar teaches you? Something special to share with me?

Go ahead and let me know in comments what is your philosophy on memories.

Keep creating memories!

Also, remember me too ;)

Happy reading!
